Waterfowl and Bear Hunt Combo

Welcome to the hunt of your dreams. You might be wondering why or how Waterfowl hunting and Bear hunting go together. The truth is, they have nothing in common, and that's what makes this hunt unique. As one of our hunters once said, "its like Bacon and Ice Cream, completely different yet they go well with almost anything." On this hunt, you will experience the constant early morning action of waterfowl hunting like no other. Thousands of early migrating Canada and Speckle Belly geese lifting out of the morning fog of the Peace River and sloughs, heading for the fields. Just as shooting light hits, they start pouring into the decoy spread, guaranteeing that everyone's barrels stay warm. Just when you think you have time for a quick break and a sip of coffee, a group of ducks comes zipping past and you once again find yourself quickly thumbing shells into your gun as the ducks loop back for another pass. It’s 9am, a limit has been shot and its time for Breakfast. After some amazing food and recovery of the mornings action, it’s time for a nap. You'll need it because in a few hours your off in the search of giant black bears. The bear guides have been out all morning scouting, and they know all the spots where the big guys hang out . The population of bears in this area is second to none and before you know it your standing waist deep in oats staring down a four hundred pound giant. While your out with the bears, the waterfowl guides have already found another field loaded with birds, ready for the next mornings shoot. in the evening you sit around a fire replaying the days events. Its only Day 1 but you've already had more action and trigger time than any other hunt you've ever been on. This awesome combination hunt promises to give you a week of action packed fun of shooting and comraderie. We can accommodate up to 6 hunters per week for this hunt so bring your friends. Included in the price is 6 days of bear hunting and 5 days of waterfowl hunting, all food and accommodations, 12 gauge high velocity steel shot for waterfowl hunts, guiding services, all ground transport to and from High Level or La Crete airport, and shotgun rentals.

Not included in the hunt: 5% tax, tags and licenses, shipping fees, skinning fees. Hunt cost is $7500 per person. Second trophy bear is $1500

Prices in USD*

Hunters can fly to Edmonton Alberta, and either rent a car and drive the 7 hours to La Crete or connect to the High Level airport from Edmonton on Central Mountain Air or Northwestern Air. One of our team members would pick you up from the High Level airport on arrival, which is 65 miles from La Crete. We will provide a place to stay with bedding and other essentials. La Crete also has a 4400 foot asphalt runway at the local airport and heated hanger space can be arranged for those of you flying private. Northern Skies Outfitting will be running these hunts every September. Waterfowl and Black Bear seasons both open September 1st. (archery black bear opens August 25th) Hunters will receive a wolf coyote license with the bear tags. No trophy fees will be charged on the wolf and coyotes taken.
